Why take a VMSA Winter Clinic?
- Approx. one hour, once a week over the Fall and/or Winter

Clinics vs Regular Season practices/games
- Difficult for coaches to spend significant time during practices on hitting, pitching and back-catching skills during the regular season
- Minimum contact opportunities for hitting during a regular season game/practice (On average, during a game, a player may only face 6-8 pitches per game and may be lucky to get 1-2 contacts during that game. Compare this to the clinic environment where players will have non-stop opportunities to swing and make contact)
- Pitching and Back-catching are very specialized skills in softball and require a different set of specific fundamentals and LOTS of hands-on practice
