Softball BC will is hosting in-person clinics for umpire certification, in Vancouver, on March 30th & 31stUMPIRE CERTIFICATION CLINICS
Are you a returning umpire or a new umpire and need to get certified for the season? A weekend umpire training course is being offered, in Vancouver, to make sure you are qualified.
When: March 30 (9:00 to 5:00) and March 31 (9:00 to 3:00).
What: March 30 is for Level 1 umpires and new umpires; March 30 and March 31 for Level 2 umpires.
How: Register on the SoftballBC website (If these sessions are not already listed, they will be soon) and pay the fee. The fee will be reimbursed after the umpire has umped 5 games for VMSA.
Who: Umpires can be as young as 11 years-old, but many will typically begin in high school. 15% of SoftballBC umpires are over the age of 65!
Why: A great opportunity to earn money, learn the rules of the game you love, and participate in the sport in a different way.
